The 87th Infantry Division ("Golden Acorn"[1]) was a unit of the United States Army in World War I and World War II. Plauen fell, 17 April, and the Division took up defensive positions, 20 April May, about 4 miles from the Czech border. The Hunter Army Airfield area also had settlements on the Little Ogeechee River, possibly as early as the 1750s.
